Merchandising Executive

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of category and merchandising strategies across retail stores.
• Assist in store layout planning and the implementation of planograms to ensure optimal product placement and presentation.
• Coordinate with vendors on purchase orders, cost and pricing updates, and basic negotiations under supervision.
• Prepare and maintain regular reports on sales performance, stock levels, and inventory movement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on new item creation and maintain accurate item master data and product information.
• Monitor stock levels and sales performance, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Support category-related initiatives, including new product launches, promotional campaigns, assortment reviews, and store revamps.

🧭 What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail, merchandising, buying, or FMCG, preferably within a multi-category environment.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Basic negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables; familiarity with systems such as SAP or Power BI will be an advantage.
• A collaborative team player who is organised, hands-on, and execution-focused.
