Merchandising Internship

Join the St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club for a summer internship to gain vast behind-the-scenes experience in the sports industry. The Rox are an industry leader in fan support, winning, community engagement, staff development, along with consistently creating a ballpark environment that is incredibly entertaining and fun for fans and staff. The Rox have a proven track record of providing interns with hands-on experience and knowledge that will be useful in competing for jobs in the sports industry. Many former Rox interns have obtained a full-time job with sports organizations after their internship. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, a strong communicator with the ability to work in a team environment, has an eagerness to learn, and possesses the flexibility to adapt to what each day brings with a positive attitude. The Rox will work with you to fulfill requirements for college credit if necessary.

This position starts in May and lasts through mid-August.

Reports to: Vice President

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase Rox merchandise sales.
• Help tag, label, and organize all merchandise and souvenirs.
• Prepare and arrange the Pro Shop before each game, creating a clean, organized, strategic, and welcoming environment for customers.
• Operate the Pro Shop during all games, promoting specials and sales while ensuring all merchandise is properly stocked and available in a full range of sizes.
• Monitor inventory levels and merchandise quality, working closely with management to identify product reorder as needed.
• Lead post-game Pro Shop cleanup, including transporting merchandise back to designated storage areas.
• Restocks clothing racks as needed.
• Leads post-game merchandise area clean up (transports merchandise back into storage).
• Assist with various game-day and organizational activities as needed, including distributing marketing materials at the ballpark and throughout Central Minnesota.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Availability to work Rox home games, which includes some nights and weekends
