Merchandising Manager

The Merchandising Manager is responsible for managing the company’s overall merchandising strategy for appliance and furniture products. The role ensures the right product assortment, pricing, inventory levels, promotions, and product presentation across all stores to maximize sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop merchandising and category strategies based on market and sales trends.
• Manage product assortment, SKU performance, pricing, and product lifecycle.
• Plan and monitor promotional activities and new product launches.
• Ensure proper product displays and merchandising standards across stores.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Inventory teams to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Monitor sales, margins, sell-through, inventory turnover, and slow-moving items.
• Manage supplier and brand relationships.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Inventory, and Store Operations.
• Lead and develop the merchandising team.
• Prepare reports and recommend strategies to improve sales and profitability**.**

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
• At least 5–10 years of progressive merchandising experience, with 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in retail, appliances, furniture, or consumer goods.
• Proven experience in merchandise planning, category management, inventory management, pricing, and vendor negotiations.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain, and inventory control.
• Proficient in ERP systems, merchandising software, Microsoft Excel, and data analytics tools.
• Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills.
