We're working with one of West Flanders' leading textile manufacturers, who are investing heavily in the digital transformation of its production environment. As part of this journey, they're looking to welcome an experienced MES Business Analyst to their IT team.

This is a role for someone who enjoys spending time on the production floor, understanding how people work, and translating operational needs into practical technology solutions. You'll be working on systems that have a direct impact on manufacturing efficiency across multiple international production sites.

Joining a close-knit team, you'll play a key role in the ongoing development of the company's Manufacturing Execution System (MES). From gathering requirements with production teams to supporting software releases and collaborating with developers, you'll help ensure the platform continues to evolve alongside the business.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with production, engineering, and business teams to understand operational challenges and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Analyse, document, and prioritise change requests for the MES platform.
  • Collaborate with software developers throughout the full project lifecycle, from analysis through to testing and implementation.
  • Support the continued modernisation of manufacturing applications, including the move towards web-based technologies.
  • Help ensure smooth integrations between MES, SAP, industrial software, and shopfloor equipment.
  • Carry out functional testing and validate new features before they are deployed into production.
  • Monitor application performance and contribute to maintaining a stable, reliable production environment.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Work alongside automation specialists on projects involving production technologies and connected factory systems.
  • Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement recommendations for existing applications.

Your Profile

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Around three or more years of experience working with MES or manufacturing software within an industrial environment.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and acting as the link between operational teams and software developers.
  • Comfortable writing and understanding SQL queries (Microsoft SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with software implementations, testing, and release management.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.
  • The ability to communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, from developers to production managers and shopfloor operators.
  • A naturally analytical mindset with a practical approach to solving problems.
  • A willingness to visit different production sites when required.

The Offer

  • Up to €6.5k.
  • Company car and fuel card.
  • Meal vouchers.
  • Group and hospital insurance.
  • Annual bonus and 13th-month payment.
  • Bike leasing and flexible benefits options.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working after onboarding.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Long-term career prospects within an international organisation.
  • A collaborative, down-to-earth culture where people are approachable, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do.
