MES Engineer

We’re Hiring: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Dexter, Michigan (On-site preferred – 4 days per week)

Contract Duration: October 5, 2026 – October 4, 2027

Travel: 15%

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support digital manufacturing initiatives and develop SCADA solutions using Ignition, PostgreSQL, and Python . This role focuses on manufacturing technology, system deployments, process improvement, and collaboration with global teams in a regulated environment.

Top 3 Required Skills

1. Manufacturing Process & Engineering Expertise

• Experience supporting production operations, process development, equipment integration, validation, and continuous improvement in regulated manufacturing environments.

2. Digital Manufacturing / MES / eBR Deployment

• Experience implementing MES, eBR/eDHR/eLHR, SAP-integrated manufacturing solutions, or similar digital manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of process mapping, system configuration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and site go-live support.

3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Change Management

• Ability to coordinate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, IT, and site leadership teams.
• Experience driving issue resolution, training end users, and supporting organizational change and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and implement software solutions using Ignition SCADA, PostgreSQL, and Python.
• Support manufacturing technology deployments and improve system efficiency across manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop system requirements, software standards, and technical documentation.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and ongoing system improvements in a regulated quality environment.
• Travel to manufacturing sites for assessments, deployment support, work sessions, and training.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Manufacturing engineering experience, including digital manufacturing systems implementation or equivalent technology programs.
• Software engineering experience with a relevant degree.
• Experience in manufacturing systems, SCADA, MES, or related digital manufacturing technologies is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Ignition SCADA configuration and programming.
• Power BI, Tableau, SQL/NoSQL databases, and analytics tools.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies and software product ownership.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Linux and containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.
• Experience supporting global or multi-site manufacturing operations.
