MES Functional Consultant

Role description

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Lead Subject Matter Expert SME specializing in Industrial IoT IIoT and Manufacturing Operations Management MOM In this role you will bridge the gap between operational technology OT and information technology IT by translating complex plantfloor manufacturing requirements into scalable digital architectures

As the Functional Lead you will conduct ASIS process discoveries map out TOBE system designs and guide crossfunctional teams through the deployment of Smart Manufacturing and Industry 40 solutions This role requires a blend of deep domain expertise in discrete or process manufacturing KPIs eg OEE yield downtime and proven leadership in deploying MESMOM platforms

Key Responsibilities

Functional Architecture Discovery Lead workshops and stakeholder interviews across Manufacturing Quality and IT teams to discover ASIS shopfloor configurations customizations and integrations Design targetstate MOM and manufacturing IT blueprints aligned with enterprise standards

IIoT Data Strategy Define functional requirements for machinetocloud connectivity and edge compute telemetry Champion the functional design of realtime OEE dashboards condition monitoring and predictive asset analytics

MOMMES Solution Steering Functionally guide the deployment and modernization of key core modules including Order Management Quality Assurance Control Track Trace Maintenance Management and Shopfloor Scheduling

ITOT Integration Interoperability Define the data exchange interfaces masterdata structures and workflow requirements bridging shopfloor systems PLCSCADA edge data with enterprise layers PLM ERP WMS

Solution Lifecycle Leadership Own the functional roadmap through deliveryfrom user story mapping and system gap analysis to validation testing deployment cutovers user adoption and hypercare support

SME Mentorship Act as the trusted technical and functional authority on Industry 40 trends Mentor junior business analysts consultants and implementation partners

Required Skills Experience

Domain Platform Expertise

Extensive handson experience functionally implementing or consulting for leading MOM/MES platforms eg Siemens Opcenter Rockwell Automation AVEVA Honeywell Dassault DELMIA or AspenTech

Deep understanding of industrystandard connectivity frameworks and shopfloor protocols OPC UA Modbus MQTT to parse legacy machine data into cloud or middleware endpoints

Solid grasp of international manufacturing standards such as ISA95 and ISA88 governing enterprisetocontrol system integrations

Proven track record utilizing Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or Theory of Constraints methodologies to optimize operational efficiency

Consulting Leadership Skills

Strong clientfacing consulting capabilities with a demonstrated ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to both executive stakeholders and shopfloor operators

Strong structured problemsolving workshop facilitation and comprehensive documentation skills

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.

Compensation range: $160,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
