Time-served MET experience in an accident repair environment. IMI or equivalent qualification, or the experience to back it up. Full UK driving licence. Someone who works to method, records what they have done, and takes pride in a clean rebuild. EV qualifications and ADAS experience are welcome but not essential, we will fund the training if you want it.

WHAT YOU GET HERE

A purpose-built workshop, not a converted unit. Hyundai Approved repairer since December 2025. BS10125 certified, with zero non-conformances in 2024, 2025 and 2026. Manufacturer method data on every job, proper equipment, and time to do the job right. IMI member employer, with funded training and clear progression.

WHAT COMES WITH THE JOB

20 days holiday plus bank holidays. We close over Christmas and that time is on top, it does not come out of your 20 days. Workplace pension scheme. Free on-site parking, off the road and secure. Monday to Friday, no weekend working. All workwear and PPE provided. Overtime available and paid. Funded training and qualifications. Tea and coffee on the house, and a proper mess room to take your break in.Stanways Autobodies is an independent family-run bodyshop in Lytham St Annes. The workshop was established in 1974 and the family has owned and run it since 2017. We moved into a purpose-built facility in 2024 and we are hiring a MET Technician to join a team of 13.

THE PAY, STATED PLAINLY

£39,800 to £46,400 a year depending on experience and qualifications. 42.5 hours a week. We do not run an efficiency bonus, so there is no target to chase and nothing to lose in a quiet week. Overtime is available and paid. Three month probation.

WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES

Full strip and rebuild on accident-damaged vehicles, including EV and hybrid. Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components to manufacturer method. Suspension, steering and cooling system work, wheel alignment. Diagnostics, fault codes and post-repair checks. Working alongside panel and paint so jobs move through cleanly.MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical and Trim)
