Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team in Pakenham, VIC. As a full-time role, this job allows you to be responsible for welding and fabrication work, supporting the company's core operations in the structural steel fabrication and installation industry.

What you'll be doing:

• Performing high-quality welding and fabrication work.
• You will be working in the factory fabricating structural steel.
• You will be working onsite at Residential Projects for Structural Steel Erection.
• Utilising a range of welding techniques such as ARC welding to meet project requirements.
• Collaborating with the broader team to identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the fabrication and installation process.
• Read and interpret architectural plans and engineering plans to assist with fabrication of steel beams and columns to ensure they are according to plans.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all fabrication tools and equipment are properly maintained and check stock of bolts.

What we're looking for:

• Strong technical skills and knowledge of welding techniques mainly ARC welding.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Previous Structural Steel fabrication and installation experience.
• Immediate Start.
• Having a HR licence would be preferred.
