Position Summary
This is a hands-on, shop-based position focused on custom metal fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing.
The ideal candidate has strong TIG and MIG welding skills, particularly in aluminum, and can produce clean, professional-quality welds suitable for highly visible architectural and artistic applications.
Unlike repetitive production welding, our work involves custom, one-of-a-kind projects that require attention to detail, adaptability, and problem-solving.
An aluminum finish-welding test will be required during the interview process.

- Cut, fit, weld, grind, sand, and finish fabricated components.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
- Accurately measure, lay out, and assemble components to required dimensions and tolerances.
- Produce clean, consistent welds and professional-quality finished surfaces.
- Operate standard metalworking equipment, including saws, grinders, drills, and fabrication tools.
- Identify fabrication challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and finish.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, CNC operators, carpenters, and other fabricators.
- Assist with material handling, shop organization, and equipment maintenance.
- Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Participate in occasional local or out-of-town installations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional metal fabrication experience.
- Strong TIG welding skills, particularly with aluminum.
- Ability to produce clean, high-quality finish welds on aluminum.

- Proficiency in cutting, fitting, grinding, sanding, and assembling metal components.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and shop drawings.
- Experience using metal fabrication machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong understanding of fabrication tolerances, measurements, and material preparation.
- Good basic math and measuring skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to troubleshoot fabrication challenges and work independently with moderate supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
