About the Role:
Builds the steel bases and legs under our tables and desks, and delivers them fully complete and paint-ready. You work from a cut list, tack and weld, rough and finish grind, clean edges, and prep for paint. You keep Metal Fab ahead of the shop so finishing never sits waiting on metal, and you plan your own day in writing

What You'll Do

• Build a written daily plan of completed units
• Cut metal parts from a cut list
• Create metal orders
• Tack and weld parts
• Rough grind and finish grind welds
• Clean edges and prep for paint
• Upload photos of finished parts
• Keep the welding area clean

What We're Looking For

• MIG welding experience required. TIG is a strong plus
• Clean grinding and weld finishing. Your welds should look as good as they hold
• Able to read blueprints and work from a cut list
• Steel fabrication fundamentals and accurate layout
• You take pride in quality and plan your own work without being managed

What Winning Looks Like in This Role

• Done means fully welded, fully ground, edges cleaned, and prepped for paint. Nothing moves forward half finished
• You build a written daily plan of completed units and share it with the shop manager each morning
• Progress is measured in completed units, not busy hours
• Finishing is never waiting on metal
• Nothing comes back to you as rework from finishing
• Your area stays clean and safe

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and carry 50 to 75 lbs, and team-lift heavier bases
• On your feet and moving for most of an 8+ hour shift
• Extended welding, grinding, kneeling, bending, and overhead work
• Regular exposure to heat, sparks, weld fume, and grinding dust
• Required PPE including welding helmet, jacket, gloves, respirator, and hearing protection
