Metal Fabricator/fitter/welder

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Metal Fabricator/Fitter/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards across various projects, including structural, mechanical, and custom fabrication tasks. Duties

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical fabrication plans to accurately guide fabrication and assembly processes
• Measure and mark metal materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and fits
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), and TIG welding equipment to join or shape metal components
• Fabricate sheet metal parts and structures through cutting, bending, forming, and assembly techniques in accordance with AWS standards
• Use pipe threading tools and perform plasma cutting for custom fabrication projects involving pipes and complex shapes
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensions, materials, and assembly procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols, inspecting tools regularly, and adhering to OSHA guidelines for construction site safety

Experience

• Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with metal materials such as steel, aluminum, or stainless steel
• Strong background in welding techniques including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Stick (SMAW), and FCAW welding processes
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, shop math, measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers, and interpreting technical drawings accurately
• Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes, assembly techniques, pipe threading, plasma cutting, and sheet metal fabrication
• Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, safety equipment, and welding machines in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining high standards of quality control in accordance with AWS standards
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence on job sites or within fabrication shops
