Metal Superintendent

About the Role
7 Summits Roofing is looking for an experienced Metal Superintendent to help lead and grow our commercial architectural metal operations throughout Colorado’s Front Range.

We’re looking for someone who knows metal, understands the field and wants the opportunity to take ownership of their projects.

Our metal work includes standing seam roofing, architectural wall panels, coping and edge metal, fascia, gutters, downspouts, flashings and other architectural sheet metal systems.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial metal experience and is comfortable managing subcontractors, coordinating materials, verifying field conditions and maintaining quality from the beginning of a project through completion.

Experience with fabrication and commercial single-ply roofing is a plus.

What You'll Do

Project Leadership

• Oversee commercial standing seam roofing and architectural wall-panel projects.
• Coordinate and manage subcontracted installation crews.
• Maintain a regular presence on active jobsites.
• Review drawings, specifications, approved details and shop drawings.
• Perform and verify field measurements before fabrication and material release.
• Assist with material takeoffs, costing and ordering.
• Coordinate panels, trim, clips, fasteners, coping, edge metal and other project materials.
• Coordinate fabrication of flashings, trim and custom sheet metal components.
• Monitor production, workmanship and project schedules.
• Inspect installations throughout construction and address deficiencies before they become larger problems.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Operations, General Contractors, Manufacturers and Suppliers.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate field progress and concerns.
• Help manage punch lists, inspections and project closeout.
• Maintain safe, clean and professional jobsites.

What You Bring

Required

• Commercial architectural metal experience.
• Strong knowledge of standing seam metal roofing and/or commercial wall-panel systems.
• Previous experience leading crews, subcontractors or commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings and details.
• Ability to accurately measure and verify field conditions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Overnight travel is expected if projects require it.

Preferred

• Sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Material takeoff and ordering experience.
• Experience with coping, perimeter edge metal, fascia, gutters, downspouts and custom flashings.
• Experience coordinating material releases and fabrication.
• Experience working with manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Commercial single-ply roofing experience is not required, but it is highly valuable.
• Candidates with experience in TPO, PVC or EPDM may have opportunities to assist with other commercial roofing projects when metal workload is lighter.

What We Offer

Compensation: $80,000–$110,000+ (based on experience)
