WORKING HOURS: Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
SALARY: $28/hour
STATUS: Full-Time, Permanent, Day-Shift
LOCATION(S): On-Site, Parry Sound, ON

With a strong commitment to engineering excellence, product quality, and customer service, Almex designs and manufactures a range of advanced vulcanizing presses, belt handling systems, and related industrial equipment used worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate production line machinery and computers.
• Perform pre-shift tool and equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot production line machinery.
• Perform equipment changeovers.
• Responsible for quality control. Make necessary adjustments to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications (check with supervisors).
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job safety analysis (JSAs).
• Operate forklift, overhead cranes, or mobile yard cranes (if qualified).
• Utilize the company ERP system for production tracking.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance (PMS) on production line machinery or tools.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain work area daily (woodshop and shipping area).
• Turn off equipment when not in use.
• Lock out equipment in the event of equipment failure.
• Work shifts work as required.
• Must meet other qualifications and checklists as required.

• Overtime and Shift Work may be required
• Experience preferred but not required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in a manufacturing/ machining environment.
• Possesses a mechanical aptitude/ familiarity with mechanical concepts.
• Skilled in setting up and operating machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and quality control.
• Familiarity with various materials, including metals and plastics.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and blueprint.
• Awareness of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
