Metalwork Project Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE

CopperSmith creates architectural metalwork for the designed home. We help clients define the metal piece that brings their larger design into focus, then guide those decisions through precise specification and fabrication. We’re looking for a coachable, ambitious, and organized Metalwork Project Specialist to manage daily sales and project activity within an assigned region. Working alongside a Senior Metalwork Project Specialist, you’ll guide customers, develop opportunities, and build expertise in materials, design, and project-based selling.This is a developmental sales role with a clear opportunity to grow into greater account ownership and sales leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Manage day-to-day customer follow-up and routine sales opportunities within your assigned region.

• Guide customers from initial inspiration to a clearly defined product, considering the surrounding architecture, cabinetry, hardware, surfaces, and overall design.

• Explain how materials, finishes, proportions, textures, and architectural details influence the finished piece.

• Make clear recommendations and help customers navigate options with confidence.

• Set expectations around the project process, approvals, timing, and next steps.

• Prepare and manage routine quotes and transactions.

• Reengage older opportunities, nurture prospects, and conduct targeted prospecting to generate new business.

• Support daily follow-up and project execution for trade partners and repeat customers.

• Maintain accurate CRM records and disciplined pipeline activity.

• Partner with the Senior Metalwork Project Specialist on strategic, complex, or high-value opportunities.

• Complete required Sandler sales training and structured CopperSmith onboarding covering products, materials, design, and processes.

COMPENSATION

• Base salary: $60,000

• Commission: 0.5% of commissionable sales within your assigned region.

• Estimated commission: $11,000–$16,000.

• Estimated total compensation: $71,000–$76,000. Actual commission varies with commissionable regional sales.

TRAINING AND CAREER GROWTH

You’ll receive structured CopperSmith onboarding and complete required Sandler sales training. Strong performers can earn broader account and project ownership, take on more complex opportunities, and advance toward a Senior Metalwork Project Specialist role or other sales leadership opportunities. This role reports to the Senior Metalwork Project Specialist.
