Meter Reader

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and record water/electricity meter readings accurately according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Inspect meters and surrounding areas for abnormalities, damage, tampering, or other irregularities.
• Report defective, inaccessible, damaged, or tampered meters to the concerned team.
• Verify meter readings and ensure accurate recording in the assigned system or forms.
• Take photos or document meter conditions when required.
• Identify unusual consumption patterns and report potential issues for further investigation.
• Coordinate with customers when necessary regarding meter access and related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of daily meter readings and completed assignments.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Perform other field and administrative tasks related to meter reading as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate or college level; vocational training is an advantage.
• Experience as a Meter Reader, Field Staff, Utility Staff, or similar role is an advantage.
• Willing to perform fieldwork and travel within assigned areas.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
• Able to accurately read and record meter data.
• Basic knowledge of mobile applications or data-entry systems.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Willing to work onsite and follow the required work schedule.
