Position Summary

Reporting to the Engineering Director or Engineering Manager, the Methods & Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes that support Tube-Fab's production operations, quality objectives, and growth strategy.

The successful candidate will lead process improvement initiatives, develop manufacturing methods, support customer programs, and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, models, and customer requirements.
• Develop manufacturing methods for tube bending, welding, fabrication, forming, and assembly operations.
• Review customer engineering packages and support quotation activities.
• Lead contract review activities for new programs and engineering changes.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, and process maps.
• Conduct capacity planning, workflow optimization, and productivity improvement projects.
• Perform time studies and manufacturing efficiency analysis.
• Lead FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action initiatives.
• Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
• Serve as a technical interface between customers and internal departments.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Research and implement new manufacturing technologies, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
• Analyze manufacturing performance metrics and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance.
• Support AS9100, Nadcap, and customer quality requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, tube bending, forming, and assembly processes.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and project management skills.

Preferred

• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Experience working within AS9100 and/or Nadcap environments.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training.
• Knowledge of JobBoss or other manufacturing ERP systems.
• Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
