Metrology Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Metrology Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of measurement tools, equipment, and processes within a manufacturing environment. You will play a critical role in maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain, and repair precision measuring instruments and equipment. - Develop and implement measurement procedures to ensure accurate data collection. - Perform dimensional inspections of parts and components using various metrology tools. - Analyze measurement data to identify trends, deviations, and non-conformities. - Document all inspection results and calibration activities in compliance with company and industry standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements. - Maintain the laboratory or inspection area in a clean and organized condition.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Metrology Technician or in a related quality control role. - Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). - Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as CMM, micrometers, calipers, and gauges. - Experience with calibration software and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Relevant certification in Metrology or related field is a plus.

Pay: R70 000,00 - R90 000,00 per month
