MHE / FLT Instructor

Dulson Training Ltd was established in 2013 and specialises in the delivery of logistics driver training to employees working in the sector and the general public.

We are looking for an instructor with a proactive approach and passion for training to join our team. You will be delivering MHE / FLT training for new and existing students. As a instructor you will be training students to RTITB test standard, delivering course training materials with a high degree of detail. Full training and support will be provided.

Day-to-day duties

• Explaining the course contents to potential candidates
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks on MHE equipment
• Carrying out assessments to identify training needs
• Completing all relevant course and training documents
• Delivery of MHE courses to RTITB test standard
• Assess learners prior knowledge and build on that to prepare candidates for test
• Complete relevant training paperwork and record accurate information
• Support and guide learners so they can reflect on their learning
• To promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety to learners at all
• Liaising with the site management and Admin team
• You may be required to work from different Dulson Training sites, as well as customer sites
• You may be required to work away at customer sites nationwide. Accommodation will be provided with night away bonus and food allowance
• You may be required to work occasional Saturdays.
• You will be required to help maintain and keep tidy the company sites, and keep vehicles clean and tidy
• Assist the office team as and when required

Essential skills

• Training qualifications are required including Forklift, RTITB Instructor qualification.
• Strong communication skills and a patient approach.
• Previous experience in a driver training environment would be advantageous but not essential.
• Previous experience using a Fork Lift Truck is essential.
• Excellent level of accuracy and good standards of literacy when writing reports.
• Ability to talk to a wide range of people in a confident manner.
• Good time keeping and professional appearance.
• Ideally already registered with RTITB.
• A good standard of computer literacy.
• To work as part of a team with a good degree of flexibility.

Salary: From £30,160 per year based on a 40 hour week on an employment contract plus bonuses and overtime.
