Lead the transformation of Risk reporting at a UK bank

People Genius is partnering with a well-established UK bank to hire an MI Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a high-profile, hands-on role. You’ll modernise how the Risk function reports and uses its data, moving it from spreadsheets and descriptive outputs to automated, insight-led reporting for the bank’s most senior leaders.

What you’ll do

• Design and deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards and executive-level visualisations that make complex risk data clear and actionable.
• Build scalable, reusable data models and reporting frameworks that serve multiple areas of the business.
• Automate data sourcing, preparation and reporting with SQL, Alteryx and similar tools, replacing manual, spreadsheet-based processes.
• Integrate and rationalise data from multiple sources, improving data quality, consistency and governance.
• Explore and introduce Microsoft Copilot and AI to automate insight and highlight trends, exceptions and emerging risks.
• Work with senior Risk leaders to turn reporting into forward-looking risk intelligence.
• Act as a hands-on transformation lead across Risk, Data and Technology, embedding best practice, documentation and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience designing and delivering Power BI dashboards, with strong data modelling and BI best practice
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, plus Alteryx or a similar transformation and automation tool
• A track record of automating reporting and reducing reliance on manual MI
• The ability to produce polished, executive-level reporting and tell a clear story with data
• Strong stakeholder management, from gathering requirements through to delivering practical solutions
• Experience leading reporting change across multiple teams, ideally in a regulated environment
• Desirable: experience in financial services, risk or consumer lending, AI/Copilot, cloud data platforms or reporting governance
