Microbiologist Analyst

Role & responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform routine microbiological analysis of:

• Raw materials

• Finished products

• In-process samples

• Water samples (PW, WFI)

• Conduct:

• Total Viable Count (TVC)

• Yeast & Mold Count

Water System Monitoring

• Test:

• Purified Water (PW)

• Water for Injection (WFI)

• Perform:

• Microbial count

• Endotoxin testing (LAL test)

• Ensure compliance with pharmacopeial standards (IP, USP)

Culture Handling & Identification

• Maintain microbial cultures:

• Subculturing

• Preservation (slants, glycerol stocks)

• Perform identification using:

• Biochemical tests

• Automated systems

• Maintain culture records and traceability

Media Preparation & Growth Promotion Test (GPT)

• Prepare culture media as per SOP

• Perform:

• Growth Promotion Test (GPT) to verify media performance

• Maintain:

• Media preparation logs

• Autoclave records

• Operate and monitor:

• Autoclaves

• Dry heat ovens

• Perform:

• Biological indicator testing

• Support validation of:

• Cleanroom processes
