The Opportunity

We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our technical team in Kewdale, WA on a permanent full-time basis, working Monday - Friday 6am – 2pm or 7am to 3pm.

In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the quality and safety of some of Australia's most iconic beverage brands. Working across our manufacturing operations, you'll conduct microbiological testing, investigate quality issues and provide critical insights that help maintain the highest standards of product quality and food safety.

This is far more than a laboratory-based role. It's an opportunity to make a visible impact on the business, champion continuous improvement initiatives and play a key role in maintaining the trust millions of consumers place in our brands every day.

If you're passionate about science, enjoy solving problems and want to make a tangible impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

  • Conduct microbiological testing on raw materials, water treatment systems, packaging materials, syrups and finished beverages in line with approved schedules.
  • Monitor and assess product and process microbiological performance to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
  • Investigate microbiological non-conformances and provide recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Conduct factory sanitation and environmental monitoring activities, identifying opportunities to improve plant hygiene performance.
  • Support innovation and product development activities through application of microbiological principles.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation in accordance with procedures and timelines.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained and operating effectively.
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to laboratory safety standards and proactively addressing safety risks.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience in microbiological testing within an FMCG, food, beverage, water, wine or juice manufacturing environment (highly advantageous).
  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems and laboratory practices.
  • Experience investigating quality issues and identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality standards.
  • Strong analytical, record-keeping and documentation skills
  • A collaborative, team-first approach.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the confidence to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for learning, innovation and operational excellence.

What We Offer

  • Work with one of the world's most recognisable brands.
  • Generous monthly product allowance and discounted staff purchases.
  • Access to 700+ discounts through our Cheers Rewards & Recognition platform.
  • Learning, development and career opportunities across our Australian and global network.
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan.
  • Paid parental leave, purchased leave options and Employee Assistance Program.
  • A people-first culture that celebrates success, inclusion and community impact.
  • Performance-based incentive opportunities that reward individual contribution and business success.

Ready to Make Magic Happen?

If you're passionate about microbiology, quality and food safety, and you're looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
