Microbiologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microbiologist with prior experience in the brewery industry to join our Quality Control and Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in brewery microbiology, microbial testing, contamination monitoring, and maintaining hygiene and quality standards throughout the brewing process.

Brewery industry experience is mandatory. Candidates with relevant experience in beer production, fermentation microbiology, and quality control in a brewery environment are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, brewing water, wort, yeast, beer, and finished products.
• Monitor and control microbial contamination throughout the brewing and fermentation processes.
• Conduct routine microbiological analysis, including yeast viability, yeast count, bacterial detection, and spoilage organism testing.
• Perform environmental monitoring, swab testing, and hygiene assessments in production and packaging areas.
• Monitor the effectiveness of Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain microbiological quality standards in accordance with company procedures and applicable food safety requirements.
• Investigate microbiological deviations, contamination incidents, and product quality issues, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, and quality documentation.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and brewing teams to ensure consistent product quality.
• Support internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with applicable quality management systems.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
