Microbiology Analyst

• Conducting microbiological analyses (such as sterility, bioburden, total plate count, and pathogen detection tests) on raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
• Monitoring the cleanliness of sterile rooms, production areas, and laboratory facilities through surface swab tests, air testing, and water quality monitoring.
• Preparing culture media, standard solutions, and reagents required for testing, and managing their inventory.
• Periodically operating, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment such as incubators, autoclaves, and microscopes.
• Handling and disposing of hazardous biological waste in accordance with workplace safety protocols and biosafety standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, or biochemistry.
• Min. 2 years experience as Microbiology Analyst
• Certifications like ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or certified specialist credentials help in clinical or specialized setting
• Sterile handling of samples, cultures, and media to prevent cross-contamination.
• Microbial identification, pathogen testing, and environmental monitoring.
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).
