Job Title: Microsoft 365 Copilot Engineer

Experience: 2+ Years

Employment Type: Contract (6 Months)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced M365 Copilot and prompt engineering specialist to take existing Microsoft 365 Copilot agent prompts and turn them into standardized, corporate-wide agentic prompts. The role covers the full lifecycle: prompt design, governance review, test planning and execution, agent qualification, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert department-level Copilot agent prompts into scalable, reusable, enterprise-wide agent instructions.
• Refine prompts for accuracy, consistency, tone, security, and responsible AI alignment.
• Submit agents through the organization's AI governance and review process, and address findings.
• Create test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria for each agent, including edge cases, hallucination checks, and data-access validation.
• Execute tests, document results, and track defects through remediation.
• Qualify agents against governance and quality standards before release.
• Deploy approved agents via Copilot Studio / M365 admin channels and support go-live.
• Maintain documentation: prompt libraries, version history, test evidence, and deployment records.
• Collaborate with business owners, IT, security, and compliance stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and the M365 ecosystem.
• 2+ years of prompt engineering experience, preferably for enterprise or agent-based use cases.
• Experience working within a governance, risk, or compliance framework (e.g., AI governance, change management, security review).
• Experience writing and executing test plans or UAT.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite at NRG Tower, Houston, TX for the full engagement.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Copilot Studio and declarative agents.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, DLP, sensitivity labels, and SharePoint permissions.
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles and risk frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF).
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., AI-900, AI-102, MS-102, or Copilot-related).
• Background in the energy or utilities industry.

• Deployed, production-ready agents with release documentation

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.0 per week
