Microsoft 365 Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft 365 Engineer to manage, secure, and evolve our client’s enterprise cloud collaboration environment. In this role, you will take ownership of the design, administration, security posture, and lifecycle management of the entire Microsoft 365 tenant. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure leads, cybersecurity teams, and IT operations to implement modern workplace solutions, streamline identity management, automate administrative tasks, and ensure maximum productivity and security for enterprise users.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Tenant Architecture & Administration: Administer and optimize core M365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Identity & Security Engineering: Implement and maintain robust identity architectures, Conditional Access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privilege Identity Management (PIM), and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps/Office 365.
• Modern Endpoint Management: Engineer and manage cloud device management strategies using Microsoft Intune (Autopilot, compliance policies, application deployment, and configuration profiles).
• Automation & Scripting: Develop custom PowerShell scripts and Graph API workflows to automate tenant administration, user lifecycle management, and reporting.
• Governance & Compliance: Configure Microsoft Purview capabilities, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, retention policies, eDiscovery, and audit logging.
• Escalation Support & Upgrades: Serve as the tier-3 technical escalation point for complex cloud enterprise issues, driving root-cause analysis and seamless rollout of new M365 feature releases.

What You’ll Need

• Proven Track Record: 5+ years of dedicated experience designing, engineering, and administering enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.
• Core Technical Mastery: Deep expertise across Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint/Teams architecture, and Microsoft Intune.
• Advanced Scripting: Strong proficiency in PowerShell and exposure to Microsoft Graph API for tenant automation.
• Security & Compliance Foundations: Hands-on experience enforcing cloud security frameworks, Zero Trust architecture, DLP, and Microsoft Defender solutions.
• Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of DNS, networking fundamentals, hybrid identity architectures (Entra Connect / AD Sync), and Active Directory.

What Will Set You Apart

• Microsoft Certifications: Active certifications such as MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert) or SC-300 (Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator).
• Tenant Migrations: Direct experience executing tenant-to-tenant (T2T) migrations or hybrid-to-cloud email/data migrations using tools like BitTitan or Quest.
• Power Platform Integration: Experience extending M365 capabilities through low-code tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Zero Trust Deployment: Proven history of leading end-to-end Zero Trust access architecture deployments for enterprise environments.
