The EDGE Center of Innovation at Alexandria Technical & Community College is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Instructor to deliver customized training for businesses throughout the region. This contract position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to help working professionals improve their skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft 365 applications.

We're looking for an engaging instructor who can turn complex technology concepts into practical, real-world solutions that learners can immediately apply in the workplace.

What You'll Do

• Deliver instructor-led Microsoft 365 training to business professionals in classroom, virtual, and onsite settings.
• Facilitate hands-on training focused on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
• Customize training content to meet the needs of different industries, organizations, and skill levels.
• Create an engaging learning environment that encourages participation and skill development.
• Answer participant questions and provide practical workplace examples.
• Collaborate with the EDGE team to identify training needs and schedule courses.
• Maintain attendance records and training documentation.
• Stay current on Microsoft 365 features, best practices, and productivity tools.

QualificationsRequired

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams.
• Professional experience using Microsoft 365 in a business environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, user-friendly manner.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with adult learners of varying technical skill levels.

Preferred

• Experience teaching, training, coaching, or facilitating adult learning.
• Experience delivering corporate or workforce development training.
• Microsoft certifications or related technology credentials.
• Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot, or other Microsoft productivity tools.
• Experience developing training materials, exercises, and learning activities.

Work Schedule

This is a flexible instructor position with training assignments scheduled based on customer demand. There are no regular or guaranteed hours. Courses may be offered during daytime, evening, virtual, onsite, or regional locations.
