Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 Technical Support Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 Technical Support Consultant to provide on-demand remote technical and functional support for a legacy Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 environment.

The client has migrated its primary ERP operations from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. The legacy AX environment is retained for historical data access, reporting, audit, statutory requirements, and data inquiries.

The consultant will be responsible for maintaining the availability, stability, accessibility, and operational integrity of the AX 2012 R3 environment whenever support is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AX application services, AOS, AX client access, and user connectivity.
• Diagnose user login, authentication, access, and application availability issues.
• Support SQL Server databases associated with the AX environment, including connectivity, health, and performance-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and maintain SSRS reports and AX inquiry/reporting functionality.
• Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs, workflows, and residual AX services.
• Extract historical data from AX 2012 R3 based on authorized client requests.
• Investigate and resolve issues affecting AX modules, functions, reports, or system components.
• Provide support for Microsoft Dynamics AX Management Reporter (MR) and related configurations.
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure the legacy AX environment remains stable and accessible when required.
• Provide clear technical documentation and a brief service completion report after each support assignment.
• Follow CCED's IT security, access-control, cybersecurity, and operational procedures.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3.
• AX AOS (Application Object Server) administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server supporting Dynamics AX.
• Knowledge of SSRS / SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Experience troubleshooting AX batch jobs and workflows.
• Knowledge of Dynamics AX Management Reporter.
• Experience with AX client connectivity, user access, and application services.
• Ability to perform historical data extraction and reporting from AX.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of legacy ERP environments and production support processes.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX support.
• Strong practical experience supporting Dynamics AX 2012 R3.
• Experience providing both technical and functional support.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot production/support issues remotely.
• Good understanding of SQL Server and AX-related infrastructure.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work according to client processes, industry best practices, and applicable IT standards.
• Experience in an enterprise environment is preferred.

This position is focused on support and maintenance of the existing Dynamics AX 2012 R3 environment.

The primary objective is to keep the legacy AX environment accessible, stable, secure, and operational whenever required.

Pay: From Rs150,000.00 per month
