The Opportunity
We're recruiting an experienced Dynamics 365 / Power Platform Developer to join an established development team delivering a brand-new case management platform for a large, well-established organisation.
This is a genuinely interesting greenfield project, building a new solution from the ground up using Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Pages and the wider Microsoft Power Platform.
The platform will manage sensitive, people-focused cases, bringing together external-facing forms, internal case management, automated workflows and business process flows.
You'll be joining a collaborative team of experienced Dynamics developers, working in an agile environment with a clear delivery roadmap and several planned phases.
We're looking for someone who can do more than simply build what's been specified.
The team wants an experienced developer who can challenge requirements, recommend better approaches and recognise when out-of-the-box functionality can achieve the same result without unnecessary customisation.

What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and customising Dynamics 365 applications, with a particular focus on case management.
- Building model-driven applications using Dataverse, including tables, forms, views, business rules and business process flows.
- Developing Power Pages forms and portals to capture information from external users.
- Building and maintaining Power Automate workflows to support case routing, notifications and operational processes.
- Developing JavaScript and C# plugins where standard platform functionality isn't sufficient.
- Working closely with business analysts, technical leads and other developers to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Challenging functional designs and recommending simpler, more efficient approaches where appropriate.
- Contributing to agile sprint planning, estimation and delivery.
- Managing changes and deployments within a shared Dynamics environment, following good development and release practices.
- Delivering clean, maintainable solutions that can evolve as the platform develops.
Essential experience:
- Strong commercial experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
- Excellent knowledge of Dataverse, model-driven applications and Dynamics 365 customisation.
- Hands-on experience developing Power Pages portals and external-facing forms.
- Strong Power Automate development experience, including complex workflows and error handling.
- Practical experience writing JavaScript and developing C# plugins for Dynamics 365.
- Experience working with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement or Customer Service.
- Understanding of application lifecycle management, solution deployment and working in shared development environments.
- Experience working in agile delivery teams.
- The confidence to question requirements, suggest alternatives and apply best practice.
Desirable experience:
- Previous development experience with case management solutions.
- Experience delivering projects within the public sector, education, healthcare or other complex organisations.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications, particularly PL-400 or PL-600.
- Azure integrations, Logic Apps or Azure Functions.
- Power BI reporting.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
A genuine greenfield project: Get involved at the beginning of a new platform rather than maintaining an established legacy application.
Real technical influence: Your experience and judgement will be valued. This isn't an environment where developers are simply expected to follow instructions.
Modern Microsoft technology: Work across Dynamics 365, Power Pages, Dataverse, Power Automate and custom development.
An established team: Join experienced developers working collaboratively towards a shared goal.
Potential longer-term opportunity: The initial contract covers the first delivery phase, with further development phases planned. Extensions cannot be guaranteed, but there is a substantial roadmap ahead.
