Microsoft 365 and or Google Workspace Migration Engineer

Location: North Dublin - Hybrid (2 days on-site per week)

Rate: €450-€500 per day, depending on experience

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Migration Engineer to support a major technology project migrating from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace. Working alongside an established Google technology partner and the internal IT team, you will play a hands-on role in delivering the migration of email, user accounts, files and collaboration services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with experience in Microsoft 365 migrations who is keen to contribute to a large-scale cloud collaboration transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and support the migration of mailboxes, email data, calendars and contacts from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace.
• Configure and provision Google Workspace user accounts, mailboxes and associated services.
• Support the migration of SharePoint and OneDrive content to Google Drive and Shared Drives.
• Manage user access, permissions, groups and identity configuration across Microsoft and Google environments.
• Assist with migration planning, testing, data validation, cutover activities and post-migration support.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and resolve technical problems to minimise disruption to end users.
• Collaborate with the external migration partner and internal IT stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
• Document migration activities, technical configurations and support procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration and migration activities.
• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, mailboxes and email migration.
• Experience with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, including file migration and permissions.
• Experience administering user accounts, access and permissions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a delivery-focused environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external technical partners.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience migrating from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace administration, Gmail, Google Drive and Shared Drives.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID and Google identity management.
• Experience with migration tools such as MigrationWiz, Cloudiway or equivalent.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.

Contract Details

This is an initial 6-9 month contract, with an immediate start. The role will operate on a hybrid basis, requiring two days per week on-site in North Dublin.
