🚀 Senior Platform Engineer – Microsoft 365 Engineering & Platforms

📍 Location: Birmingham or Sheffield (Hybrid)

💰 Rate: £580 per day

📅 Contract: 6 Months

My client, within Financial Services, Senior Platform Engineer to help design and build a global Microsoft 365 Connectivity Platform hosted within Azure.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing a secure, scalable platform that enables enterprise applications to consume Microsoft 365 services through a centralised, governed API gateway and integration layer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build Azure API gateways and reusable integration services.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, API policies and enterprise security controls.
• Manage API rate limiting, quotas, throttling and service resilience.
• Develop application onboarding portals and automated workflows across Pilot, UAT and Production.
• Build monitoring, logging, telemetry and dashboards to track API usage, performance and service health.
• Establish governance, operational standards and controls for Microsoft 365 API consumption.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience in Azure platform engineering and API Management.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 integrations, including Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, application identity, authentication and enterprise security.
• Knowledge of developer portals, application onboarding workflows and reusable integration frameworks.
• Experience building secure, scalable and highly governed cloud platforms.
