Job Summary

About the role

We're looking for a senior hybrid identity consultant for a 5 day audit of a customer's Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 estate, delivered through a UK Microsoft partner.

Your report will tell the customer whether they're ready to make Entra ID their primary directory and remove on-premises AD, and set out a phased plan to get there.

There is the potential for follow on remediation work . If you can deliver that too, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do

• Review Entra Connect Sync configuration and sync rules, and document issues and best practice fixes
• Assess on-premises AD: functional levels, patch levels, FSMO roles, Exchange attributes and source of authority
• Review Intune configuration and the Group Policy estate
• Review configuration for up to three user personas
• Identify legacy applications that depend on LDAP and design a route that limits impact
• Review Microsoft Secure Score, the joiner, mover, leaver process and unused M365 features
• Support a licensing review to find savings and double licensing
• Write a detailed report with a phased plan, each step owned by the customer, the customer with partner support, or the partner under a professional services engagement

What you'll bring

• Deep hands on Entra ID experience in hybrid environments, including custom Entra Connect sync rules
• Strong on-premises Active Directory, including DC health, replication and FSMO
• Experience taking at least one organisation to cloud only identity
• Working knowledge of LDAP options for legacy apps, such as Microsoft Entra Domain Services, modernisation to SAML or OIDC, and Entra Private Access
• Intune, including moving Group Policy to Intune
• Microsoft 365 licensing across E3, E5 and Business Premium
• Conditional Access, MFA, PIM and Secure Score
• Clear report writing for both technical and commercial readers

Added Value Expereince

• SC-300, MS-102, MD-102 or SC-100
• Exchange hybrid, and managing Exchange attributes once on-premises Exchange is gone
• Experience delivering under a partner or MSP brand

Pay: £300.00-£500.00 per day
