Microsoft Security Consultant – Sentinel – £70,000 - £75,000 – UK Remote

We’re looking for an experienced Microsoft Security Consultant to join our client’s growing Microsoft-focused security team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about cloud security, cyber resilience and helping organisations strengthen their security posture through Microsoft’s evolving security ecosystem.

You’ll play a key role in delivering Microsoft security solutions to a diverse client base, working across cloud security, threat detection, security monitoring and incident response. With a strong focus on Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft’s wider security technologies, you’ll help customers design, implement and optimise secure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise Microsoft security solutions across Cloud environments.
• Deliver Microsoft Sentinel deployments, including configuration, data connectors, analytics rules, workbooks, automation and alerting.
• Implement and configure Microsoft Defender technologies to strengthen threat protection across cloud, endpoint, identity and email environments.
• Support customers with Microsoft cloud security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, risks and opportunities to improve their security posture.
• Develop and implement security monitoring, threat detection and incident response capabilities.
• Work with Microsoft Entra ID to improve identity security, access controls, Conditional Access and Zero Trust adoption.
• Support the implementation of Microsoft security best practices, governance frameworks and security policies.
• Help customers improve their security operations through automation, playbooks and integration with Microsoft security tools.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience working in a Microsoft Security Consultant, Security Engineer or similar technical security role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including deployment, configuration, analytics rules, data connectors and security monitoring.
• Experience implementing and managing Microsoft Defender security technologies.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Azure security and cloud security principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, identity protection, Conditional Access and access management.
• Experience working with customers to deliver technical security projects and provide consultancy.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as SC-200, AZ-500, SC-100 or SC-300.
