Job Overview

We are looking for a Java Developer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Java application development, REST APIs, and Spring Boot. The role involves developing and maintaining applications, writing and testing code, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting system enhancements and production fixes.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in Java development, database management, API integration, and software testing, along with the ability to collaborate with business analysts and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze application change requests and provide technical inputs for requirements and impact assessments.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate development effort, and recommend technical solutions.
• Prepare technical design documents and program specifications.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support REST APIs and microservices.
• Develop prototypes and perform unit testing to ensure code quality and functionality.
• Investigate and resolve issues identified during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Maintain production applications, troubleshoot defects, and implement application enhancements and fixes.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and API documentation.
• Follow established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) standards and development best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Java Developer.
• Experience with Java/J2EE development and web services, including WSDL, SOAP, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java Core/Foundation and Java 8
• Spring Boot and REST APIs/microservices
• JPA and Hibernate
• Relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent, including SQL queries and table structures
• Maven and Git
• JUnit testing and debugging Java applications
• API testing tools such as Postman, cURL, Swagger, or equivalent
• API documentation using Javadoc, OpenAPI, Swagger, or equivalent
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
• Ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
