An established AmLaw 100 firm is looking to strengthen its nationally recognised financial services litigation practice with experienced associates and career attorneys.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded team representing major banks, financial institutions, fintech businesses and national lenders in sophisticated litigation and regulatory matters.

Based in New York , the practice offers high-quality work, direct client exposure and genuine responsibility, with the support and resources of a major national firm.

The opportunity

As a Mid-level Associate, Consumer FS Litigation and regulatory , you'll handle a varied caseload spanning complex commercial disputes, consumer class actions, regulatory investigations and financial services litigation.

The team is also interested in strong commercial litigators and insurance coverage attorneys looking to transition into this specialism.

For more experienced attorneys, there are non-partner-track career opportunities offering more predictable working hours , without sacrificing the quality or complexity of the work.

What you'll be doing

• Defending financial institutions in federal and state court litigation, including class actions.
• Handling disputes involving the FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, TILA, RESPA and consumer protection legislation.
• Drafting motions, pleadings and litigation strategies.
• Taking depositions, managing discovery and preparing matters for trial.
• Advising clients on CFPB investigations, regulatory enforcement and compliance issues.
• Working directly with clients and senior attorneys on complex, high-value matters.

What we're looking for

• JD and active US Bar admission, ideally New York.
• Approximately 3-7 years' litigation experience within a law firm.
• Strong legal drafting, motion practice and case management skills.
• Experience in consumer finance, class actions, commercial litigation or insurance coverage.
• More senior attorneys seeking career-attorney positions are also encouraged to apply.

Specialist financial services experience is advantageous but not essential for strong commercial litigators.
