What they need

Mid-Level Financial Services Associate An elite Washington, D.C.–based practice is seeking a sharp, business-minded mid-level associate (Class Years 2019–2021) to join its sophisticated Financial Services team. This group is known for guiding major U.S. and global financial institutions, fintech innovators, and emerging digital asset companies through complex regulatory, enforcement, and transactional challenges.

In this role, you’ll work at the center of a practice that handles high-impact regulatory matters, cutting-edge fintech issues, administrative enforcement actions, legislative strategy, and mission-critical transactions. You will partner closely with seasoned attorneys across multiple disciplines and gain direct exposure to senior decision-makers in the financial sector.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise on federal and state banking regulations, anti-money-laundering obligations, consumer protection rules, fintech product design, and cryptocurrency regulatory frameworks.
  • Support clients navigating investigations, compliance reviews, supervisory actions, and high-stakes regulatory inquiries.
  • Contribute to legislative and policy matters shaping the future of financial services.
  • Take ownership of research, drafting, and strategy development, working both independently and collaboratively within a large, integrated team.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4–6 years of experience in bank regulatory, AML, consumer finance, fintech, or digital assets work.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities, with the judgment to handle complex, evolving issues.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • DC bar membership or ability to become licensed in Washington, D.C.
  • Experience interacting with or working within federal banking agencies (e.g., Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, FinCEN) or state banking authorities is highly valued.

Compensation Salary range: $310,000–$390,000 , commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for hours-based bonus.

If you’re seeking a practice where you can deepen your regulatory expertise, engage directly with cutting-edge issues, and develop as a trusted advisor in a rapidly evolving industry, this is a standout opportunity.
