Mid-Level Litigation Associate

A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to join its growing practice. This opportunity offers meaningful client contact, substantial responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and direct access to experienced partners. The ideal candidate will have experience managing litigation matters from inception through resolution and will thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This position may be based in either the firm's Baltimore or Rockville, Maryland office.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal filings
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Collaborate closely with partners on complex litigation matters
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses
• Assume increasing responsibility for case strategy and matter management

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission and good standing
• 3-6 years of litigation experience
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to take on significant responsibility and build a long-term litigation practice
