A prestigious international law firm is seeking a mid-level corporate M&A associate with 3 to 5 years PQE to join its expanding practice in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will handle high-value cross-border transactions, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory matters. • Advise international and regional clients on complex public and private M&A transactions, cross-border investments, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation, including sale and purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and disclosure documents.
• Lead legal due diligence exercises and coordinate with external advisors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide ongoing legal support on general commercial contracts and Hong Kong regulatory compliance matters.
• Assist partners with practice development, client pitches, and industry research.

skills & experience required.

• Minimum 3 to 5 years PQE in corporate M&A gained within a reputable international or local law firm.
• Hong Kong solicitor qualification is mandatory.
• Fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English is required for handling legal documentation and client communications.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and deal-management skills with high attention to detail.
• Candidates who are immediately available or serving a short notice period are highly preferred.
