Mid-Level Oracle APEX Developer

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mid-Level Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer, located in Houston, TX. We are currently utilizing a 3/2 weekly hybrid rotation (3 days in office, 2 days at home). While this is our standard framework, the arrangement is flexible and may be modified on short notice to align with operational priorities. The primary purpose of this position is to convert and support an Oracle Developer Suite based product to Oracle APEX. A successful developer will participate in application design and development of product enhancements to meet the company’s strategic goals. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Essential Functions

• Develop applications using Oracle APEX, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Actively participate in project related design sessions.
• Prepare unit testing, support integration testing and customer rollout.
• Help introduce usage of new techniques/technologies into the team for a more robust product.

Qualifications

• Full product lifecycle exposure with minimum 4+ years’ experience in the development phase.
• 3+ years’ experience with the various Oracle development tools.
• 2+ years’ experience with Oracle APEX.
• Detailed experience in multiple of the following technologies:
• Oracle Application Express (APEX)
• – Must
• Integration of webservices in APEX applications
• – Good to have

SQL – MustPL/SQL – MustOracle Forms – Good to HaveOracle Reports – Good to HaveOracle database concepts - Tables, Indexes, Tablespaces, etc. – MustDesired experience in one or more of the following areas: Java, Web development.

• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Must possess robust analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to perform complex multi-tasking.

Additional Requirements

• College degree in Computer Science or MIS.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed to handle critical production issues.
