NOW HIRING: Entry-Level and Mid-Level Painters

Gates Painting Co., LLC is hiring full-time Entry-Level and Mid-Level Painters for interior and exterior painting projects throughout King, Pierce, Thurston, and Snohomish Counties.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• 8-hour day shifts
• Daily start times vary between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM based on project and client scheduling requirements
• Overtime opportunities available
• Weekend work may be required as needed

Position Overview

The primary focus of this position is to assist with all phases of commercial painting, including surface preparation, painting, cleanup, and finishing work.

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing surfaces for paint and coatings
• Sanding and smoothing surfaces using hand tools and pneumatic sanding equipment
• Masking and protecting surfaces that are not being painted
• Performing minor surface repairs and patching
• Identifying and correcting surface discrepancies prior to coating application
• Applying paint and coatings as directed
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas
• Assisting other team members with labor and project tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Painting or relevant trade experience is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates
• 1+ year of painting experience preferred, but not required
• Valid driver's license required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to take direction and work effectively under a supervisor
• Willingness to travel to multiple project locations

Must be able to work all shifts as needed, shift times/ work weeks may be altered to meet customer requirements with a minimum amount of notification.

• Must be able to safely move about in a maintenance environment.
• Must be able to sit, stand, squat, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, drive, climb or balance for extended periods during shift. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hand-to-finger movements, handle or feel objects, and reach with arms and hands. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must regularly wear safety equipment including a respirator.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
• Must frequently be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to talk and/or be able to hear.

· Must possess a valid WA State Driver License with ability to commute to assigned job locations.

Compensation

$21.00-$24.00

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
