Mid-Level Practitioner

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute and chronically ill patients
• Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs
• Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
• Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals
• Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools
• Consults with healthcare professionals
• Trains patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention
• Helps provide primary care to patients
• Performs physical exams and patient observations
• Records patient medical histories and symptoms
• Creates patient care plans and contribute to existing plans
• Orders, administers and analyzes diagnostic tests
• Diagnose health issues
• Detects changes in a patient’s health and change treatment plans as necessary
• Administers medicines and treatments
• Evaluates responses to treatments and medications
• Possess a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to patients
• Believes in fair treatment of all patients

Minimum qualifications

• Must possess minimum one year experience working as a mid-level practitoner in an urgent care or family practice setting
• Masters degree from an accredited program
• Must have licensure in the state where employed and be board certified
• Must have prescriptive authorization
• Has a current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of computer-based health data management programs and information systems
• Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, and physicians
• Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
• Must possess excellent customer service skills

Experience

Applicant must have a minimum of one year of clinical experience in area of primary care or urgent care settings as a mid-level practitioner

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $48.00 - $52.00 per hour
