Mid Level Systems Analyst

The Systems Analyst will support business and technology initiatives by gathering requirements, preparing technical documentation, supporting application enhancements, and assisting in testing and implementation activities. The role will work closely with business users, developers, and project stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements and operational needs. Insurance industry experience is an advantage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including process flows, system specifications, report layouts, and user documentation.

• Work closely with business users and developers to support system enhancements and new functionality.

• Develop and execute Oracle SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and reporting requirements.

• Assist in system analysis, solution design, and implementation activities.

• Perform Systems Integration Testing (SIT), data validation, and defect tracking.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment activities.

• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.

• Assist in troubleshooting system issues and support production incidents when needed.

• Participate in project meetings, requirements discussions, and status updates.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or any related course.

• At least 2-5 years of relevant experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Application Support Analyst, or similar role.

• Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and relational databases (RDBMS).

• Experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and system implementation.

• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.

• Experience in system testing, data validation, and deployment support is preferred.

• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.

• Insurance industry experience or knowledge is an advantage.
