Mid-Level Technology & Data Associate Attorney Advert Code: MLFS 257 A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level Technology & Data Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its market-leading practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation matters for sophisticated clients across a broad range of industries.

You will advise innovative businesses on complex commercial transactions while helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving legal landscape surrounding emerging technologies and data regulation.

The Role

As part of a collaborative and highly regarded team, your work will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of technology agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, development, reseller, outsourcing, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Advising clients on privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection issues arising in commercial and technology transactions.
• Drafting and negotiating data processing agreements, data sharing agreements, and other privacy-related documentation.
• Providing strategic advice on compliance with U.S. and international privacy laws, including GDPR, UK GDPR, HIPAA, and evolving state privacy regulations.
• Counseling clients on privacy compliance programs, data governance, cross-border data transfers, vendor management, and information governance.
• Assisting clients with cybersecurity incidents, regulatory investigations, and data breach response.
• Advising on legal issues relating to artificial intelligence, online platforms, digital advertising, cookies, tracking technologies, and other emerging technologies.
• Supporting mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions involving significant technology or data assets.
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across corporate, regulatory, litigation, healthcare, financial services, and employment practices.

About You The ideal candidate will have:

• 3–5 years of experience in technology transactions, data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or a combination of these practice areas within a law firm.
• Strong experience negotiating complex commercial technology agreements.
• A solid understanding of U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws.
• Experience identifying and managing privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory risks in commercial transactions.
• Exposure to technology-related aspects of M&A, outsourcing, financing, or strategic transactions is highly desirable.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• The ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while building trusted client relationships.
• An interest in emerging technologies and the practical application of AI-assisted legal tools.

Candidates must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school , must have previous experience working in a law firm , and must be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
