Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Mid-Level WordPress & Shopify Developer to join our web development team.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in developing, customizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting WordPress and Shopify websites. The candidate should be comfortable working with existing websites as well as building new websites based on client requirements and provided designs.

We are looking for someone who can independently handle development tasks, understand client requirements, solve technical issues, and deliver clean, responsive, and performance-focused websites.

A portfolio of previous WordPress and Shopify projects is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites.
• Build responsive websites based on provided designs and requirements.
• Customize WordPress themes, plugins, and website functionality.
• Customize Shopify themes and sections according to project requirements.
• Work with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Develop and customize websites using Elementor and other WordPress page builders.
• Work with WooCommerce stores, products, categories, variations, checkout, and related functionality.
• Handle Shopify products, collections, variants, metafields, filters, navigation, and other store features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend and backend website issues.
• Fix responsive design and cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Improve website speed, performance, and overall user experience.
• Integrate third-party apps, plugins, APIs, payment gateways, and other required services.
• Perform website migrations, backups, updates, and maintenance.
• Identify and resolve plugin, theme, and code conflicts.
• Convert designs or references into functional website pages.
• Coordinate with designers, SEO specialists, project managers, and other team members.
• Manage multiple development tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Test websites thoroughly before deployment.

Technical Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience with WordPress and Shopify development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
• Good understanding of PHP for WordPress customization and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Liquid and custom theme development.
• Strong experience with Elementor / Elementor Pro.
• Experience with WooCommerce customization.
• Experience customizing existing WordPress and Shopify themes.
• Ability to create and modify custom Shopify sections and templates.
• Understanding of Shopify metafields, variants, collections, filters, and navigation.
• Experience working with WordPress plugins and custom functionality.
• Ability to troubleshoot website errors and technical issues independently.
• Understanding of website performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
• Basic knowledge of hosting, cPanel, domains, DNS, SSL, and website migration.
• Basic understanding of technical SEO and SEO-friendly website development.
• Familiarity with Git/version control is a plus.
• Knowledge of APIs and third-party integrations is a plus.

Portfolio Requirement

A portfolio is mandatory for this position.

Employment Terms

The selected candidate will initially complete a 7-day trial period to assess development skills, problem-solving ability, code quality, communication, and suitability for the role.

Following successful completion of the trial period, the candidate will enter a 3-month probation period, during which overall performance, technical capabilities, reliability, and suitability for the permanent position will be evaluated.
