JOB SUMMARY

• Analyzes and understands business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and test cases.
• Performs software testing and evaluation to ensure systems meet user requirements and established standards.
• Ensures software releases comply with customer and development requirements, supported by Test Summary Reports or Acceptance Test Certificates.
• Collaborates with Senior Quality Analysts in performing QA activities and applying established testing processes and methods.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs end-to-end manual QA testing for small to medium-sized projects, including test planning and effort estimation.
• Creates and reviews test cases, test scripts, test data, and Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).
• Conducts System, Integration, Functional, Application, and Regression Testing and validates defect fixes and new functionalities.
• Identifies, reproduces, and documents software defects, and prepares Test Summary Reports or Acceptance Test Certificates.
• Ensures compliance with SDLC and CMMI standards and contributes to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Reviews test results and provides recommendations and business-related insights to meet customer requirements.
• Performs QA administrative tasks, maintains activity records, conducts compliance validation, and prepares reports.
• Mentors and guides Junior Manual Quality Analysts and collaborates closely with development and support teams.
• Continuously develops knowledge of business processes, IT, systems, and relevant technologies.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

The candidate must have:

• Obtained a Bachelor’s or College degree in either of the following - Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and/or related field.
• At least three to four (3-4) years working experience in Quality Assurance and/or testing;
• At least 6 months to 1 year experience in Automation testing.
• Must be proficient in writing test cases and test scripts;
• Must have an experience in creating a Master Test plan;
• Must have an in-depth understanding of Test Design Techniques, QA methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (both Waterfall and Agile Development);
• With substantial knowledge of QA testing tools, different test design techniques, standards and processes;
• Exposure in business operations related to manufacturing, distribution and financial operations will be an advantage;
• Experience in various system development environment;
• A competitive analytical and problem solving skills and intermediate communicative competence;
• Detail oriented and good time management skills
• Strong sense of commitment to the organization’s goals and values;
• High flexibility in shifting schedule and extended working hours;
• Readiness to travel to other sites
