Role Description The Mid Senior Accountant role at WOROOD is a full-time, on-site position based in New Cairo. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements. The Mid Senior Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and cash accounts, and monitor inventory and cost allocations in alignment with luxury retail operations. The role involves supporting budgeting and forecasting, assisting with month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide analytical insight on financial performance, and contribute to process improvements that support WOROOD’s growth and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger management, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable processes, bank reconciliations, and cash management, preferably within retail or fashion industries.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance reviews to support strategic decision-making.
• Working knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and internal controls, with the ability to support audits and regulatory filings.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in a mid-level accounting role, ideally in luxury retail, fashion, or consumer goods.
