Role Description The Mid Senior Purchasing professional will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities to support WOROOD’s luxury fashion collections. This full-time, on-site role is based in New Cairo and includes sourcing high-quality fabrics, trims, and packaging materials, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining cost-effective purchasing strategies aligned with brand standards. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating vendor performance, tracking orders, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery to meet production timelines. The role also involves collaborating closely with design, production, and logistics teams to forecast material needs, optimize stock levels, and resolve supply issues. The successful candidate will help maintain WOROOD’s commitment to quality, heritage, and craftsmanship through reliable and strategic purchasing decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in purchasing or procurement within fashion, textiles, apparel, or a related industry.
• Proficiency in vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management, with the ability to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
• Solid skills in inventory control, demand forecasting, and cost analysis to support efficient and budget-conscious purchasing decisions.
• Comfort with using ERP or purchasing systems, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools for tracking orders, materials, and supplier performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with design, production, and operations teams.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of luxury brand standards, quality requirements, and ethical sourcing practices is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Prior experience in a mid-senior purchasing role and familiarity with the New Cairo market or regional suppliers is a plus.
