Role overview

Build components and adapters for a modular, platform-independent data platform framework.

Responsibilities

- Develop Python components using Ports and Adapters / Hexagonal Architecture and dependency injection.

- Build integrations with external systems through REST APIs and command-line tools; develop and test adapters for technologies such as Snowflake.

- Write high-quality unit and integration tests using pytest and mocking.

- Implement secure secrets management and work with AWS and GitLab CI/CD.

- Maintain clean architectural boundaries and participate in code reviews.

Required qualifications

- At least 5 years of software or data engineering experience.

- Advanced Python skills, including OOP, interfaces/ABCs, type hints, packaging, and dependency management.

- Hands-on experience with Clean / Hexagonal Architecture and dependency injection.

- Strong pytest and testing experience, plus production REST API integration experience.

- Strong SQL and Snowflake skills; hands-on AWS experience.

- Experience with Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store.

- Git and GitLab CI/CD (or equivalent), data warehousing, transformation, and ETL experience.

- Professional English communication.

- A UAN history screenshot is required as part of the application.

Preferred experience

dbt, Liquibase, Collibra, Immuta, Monte Carlo, Terraform, Docker/containerization, Airflow or Dagster, PostgreSQL, BigQuery or Redshift, pharma/regulatory work, or DataOps/SAFe.
