Mid- Sr. Ruby on Rails Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to join our engineering team and help maintain and scale a live, business-critical application driving our fulfillment and delivery operations.

Depending on your level of experience, you will either work closely alongside senior engineers to expand system capabilities or take full ownership of the application—partnering directly with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver dependable, high-performing solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-traffic e-commerce platform using modern development practices, robust automated testing, and continuous integration pipelines.

• Work Setup: Open to Fully Remote or Hybrid arrangements, depending on candidate location.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Experience: 2 to 5+ years of professional software development experience using Ruby on Rails in production environments.
• Core Skills: Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, Git, and automated testing practices (RSpec).
• Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in e-commerce, logistics, or fulfillment systems is a strong plus.
• Architecture & Design: Deep understanding of application architecture, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
• Integrations: Experience with the Shopify Storefront API and Checkout Extensions is highly preferred.
• Communication & Ownership: Excellent problem-solving capabilities and clear communication. Senior-level candidates should be prepared to work independently and provide technical guidance/leadership.
