Middle Java EE Developer with German

Commercial Experience

• 3+ years of professional Java development experience.

Java

• Strong knowledge of Java 11+; understanding of OOP, collections, exceptions, concurrency basics and common design patterns.

Java EE / Jakarta EE

• Practical experience with Java EE/Jakarta EE applications: JPA, CDI, REST/JAX-RS, Servlets; understanding of enterprise application architecture.

Frameworks

• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot is highly desirable.

Application Servers

• Experience with at least one enterprise Java runtime: WildFly/JBoss, WebSphere/Liberty, WebLogic, TomEE or similar.

APIs & Integration

• REST APIs, JSON; understanding of SOAP/Web Services; basic knowledge of messaging (JMS/MQ/Kafka) is an advantage.

Databases

• SQL and practical experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, MySQL or MS SQL.

Persistence

• JPA/Hibernate or equivalent ORM experience.

Testing

• Unit/integration testing with JUnit; Mockito or similar frameworks.

Build & SCM

• Maven or Gradle; Git.

DevOps Basics

• Understanding of CI/CD; experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or similar is desirable.

Containers

• Basic practical knowledge of Docker; Kubernetes/OpenShift is a plus.

German

• B2 or higher — able to participate in customer meetings, discuss requirements and technical topics, and communicate in writing.

English

• B1+/B2 or higher — sufficient for technical documentation and international team communication.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently on assigned development tasks, estimate work, perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues and communicate with customer/team members.
