Middle Platform Core Developer - Backend Nodejs

Salary: Up to USD 2,000 gross/month

About the Role

We are looking for a Middle Platform Core Developer to join our Platform Core & Integrations team.

You will work on backend services, APIs, integrations, middleware, and shared systems that support different products and internal teams. The role is highly hands-on, with a focus on delivering reliable backend solutions, maintaining code quality, and working closely with other engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, features, API endpoints, and integrations.
• Build and maintain REST APIs based on defined technical requirements and API contracts.
• Review product and game requirements to identify the APIs and platform services needed.
• Support development teams with platform APIs, data aggregation, and data ingestion.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Debug and resolve issues in backend services using logs, metrics, and other monitoring tools.
• Improve code quality, configuration, and performance within assigned projects.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback from Senior Developers and Team Leads.
• Work with third-party APIs and external system integrations when required.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and other engineering teams to deliver assigned tasks.
• Keep Jira tickets, pull requests, and technical documentation accurate and up to date.
• Use approved AI-assisted development tools responsibly while following team review and testing standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on production experience with Node.js .
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript .
• Experience developing backend services and REST APIs.
• Experience working with microservices and Git-based development workflows.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis.
• Basic understanding of messaging or real-time technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or WebSockets.
• Experience working with Git, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Good debugging skills and ability to investigate issues using logs and monitoring data.
• Good written and spoken English, as the team works in English and collaborates with international colleagues.
• Ability to work independently on clearly defined backend tasks and take ownership of assigned work.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Go or Java / Spring Boot .
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience integrating third-party or vendor APIs.
• Experience working with high-availability systems.
• Experience in the gaming industry or products with complex backend integrations.
